Village Arts was founded in 1983 by several local artists and craftspeople to maintain a permanent marketplace for high quality arts and crafts. The cooperative is non profit and self supporting through a commission structure. A volunteer board of directors elected by the membership every April oversee the day to day affairs of the cooperative.

The craft of over fifty five western artisans is featured in the store. Several distinct potters create in earthenware, raku and porcelain. Numerous wookworkers craft our forests into everything from salad servers to willow chairs. Wonderful jewellery made from lampworked glass or local gens set into rings and pendants, sterling silver cake servers and brooches. Enjoy wearable art in the form of vests, jackets, children's wear and bags. Decorate your home with ironwork, Victorian lampshades, blown glass or handwoven pillows.
